Whatis the difference between the Scarab 500R and 500F?
The Scarab 500R uses a rotary mulch deck for regularly maintained grass and a cleaner, more consistent result.The Scarab 500F uses a heavy-duty flail unit with free-swinging Y-blades for thick grass, rough vegetation and uneven ground.
Which Scarab is best for maintained grass?
Choose the Scarab 500R when grass is cut regularly and the finished result matters. It is suited to acreage, school grounds, airport surrounds, council land, commercial sites and other large grassed areas.
Which Scarab is best for thick or overgrown areas?
Choose the Scarab 500F for thick grass, rough vegetation, roadside batters, embankments, bush acreage, firebreaks and other demanding ground.
Is Scarab suitable for golf courses or sports fields?
Scarab is built for large, steep, rough or regularly maintained areas. It is not positioned as a precision fine-turf mower for golf greens or sports fields.The Scarab 500R is built for regularly maintained grass where a clean, consistent result matters.Its rotary mulch deck, tracked drive and remote operation make it a strong choice for acreage, school grounds, airport surrounds, council land, commercial estates and other wide grassed areas.
PERFORMANCE AND SAFETY
How much ground can Scarab cover?
Both the Scarab 500R and 500F can cover up to 5,000 m² per hour. Actual ground coverage will depend on the vegetation, terrain and operating conditions.
Can Scarab mow steep slopes?
Yes. Both models have a maximum incline capacity of 100%, equivalent to a 45° slope. A 100% incline means the ground rises one metre for every one metre travelled horizontally.
How far away can Scarab be controlled?
The radio remote has a range of up to 200 metres, allowing the operator to remain off the machine and away from steep, rough or overgrown ground.
How does Scarab reduce ride-on roll-over danger?
There is no operator on board. Scarab is controlled remotely, removing the operator from the danger of ride-on roll-overs and the physical exhaustion of push mowing.
What cutting height can I select?
Both models have an infinitely adjustable cutting height from 10 to 150 mm.
What safety features are included?
Both Scarab models include:
